It’s said that old habits die hard, giving the impression that it’s near impossible to change. Yes we can change once we get the courage to give up making excuses. For most people, the power of their beliefs is what keeps them stuck in life. I want to encourage you in this blog to make changes and give up the excuses. It is never too late to live the life you came here to live, however, first of all you have to see yourself through a new lens.
As you read this blog, I want you to get a pen and a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle of the page. On the left hand side, write down all the excuses you tell yourself every day, then on the right hand side, write down what do you want to replace those excuses with?
Then get a new sheet of paper and write about all the changes you will make over the next 6-12 months in your life, professionally and personally. Remember change is an attitude of mind that takes place, first within you.
“I told you the past is a bucket of ashes”
“I told you, yesterday is a wind gone down, a sun dropped in the west.”
“I tell you there is nothing in the world, only an ocean of tomorrows, a sky of tomorrows”
– Carl Sandburg
